Reports received of houses flooding in Neath Road – Natural Resources Wales and NPT have been contacted.
Asbestos cleared from lane at Rheola Avenue.
Parking outside the Post Office – this is an ongoing matter.
Street Sign requested for Llys Bethania due to mail and parcels continually going to houses at Railway Terrace. Cllr Davies will contact NPT and Post Office.
Members thanked Cllr Davies for arranging to have the walkway to TRW cleared.

120/16 Right of way near British Legion – Questionnaires have now been delivered to NPT in an effort to preserve a right of
way through this area, when the new owners take over.
112/16FFynon Oer grant application has been approved and the new equipment for the toddlers park will be purchased in the new year.
The Clerk reported that a new coffee morning will be starting in the New Year during school term time.
130/16 Request from Sardis for Christmas tree funding
As in previous years the Christmas tree at the village entrance has been donated by the Community Council and Sardis pay for the lights.

131/16 Correspondence Received
NPT –Telephone box at Abergarwed – Following representations from the Community Council our objection to the removal of this box has been deemed reasonable based on community needs.
Request for sponsorship for a young athlete. Due to regulations the Community Council are unable to comply with this request, have sent a donation to the organisation they represent.
Resolved to donate £50

133/16 Chairman’s Report.
The Chairman reported attending the Armistice Day Service at the War Memorial and said it was a very moving occasion.
134/16 School Governors Report
Attendance was down earlier in the term owing to a sickness bug, but is now on the rise again. The meeting started with a budget update which seems to be healthy, however because of cuts to the budget, the headmaster is looking to suspend swimming lessons to try and save money.
Pupils have had visits to the Big Pit, and attended a Baccalaureate course they continue to use the public Cyber and Resource Centre.
A successful Halloween disco was held which raised £340 for the British Legion Poppy Appeal. The Head said Councillor David Richards attended the school on a regular basis to see how the appeal was going, and was very pleased.
Councillor Aylwin Jones who has recently been appointed School Governor, attended a nutritional course on behalf of the School
