County Member Matters Arising
15/16 (a) Aqueduct: The report has now been received.
Details have now been passed to NPT for further clarification.
16/16 Underpass at Abergarwed. – Notification has
been received from Welsh Government that they
have responsibility for the underpass via South Wales
Trunk Road Agency, and Natural Resources Wales for
the brook.
Both parties will liaise to endeavour to sort the flooding
problem.
Cllr Davies further reported that parking outside the Post
Office is now becoming a serious issue and the matter has
been referred to NPT. Residents are reminded not to park in
front of the Post Office and that there is off road parking
behind the Church Hall.
A joint meeting with Clyne Community Council has been
arranged for 9th June 2016 to discuss the Melin Court Wind
Farm project

28/16 – Revamp of MUGA –. Still awaiting quotes, meeting
to be arranged with Rugby Club.
29/16 Security system for Bowling Green – Whilst
several companies were contacted for quotes, only one
supplier submitted a quoted and was therefore awarded
the contract.
30/16 New Door and brick up window in bowls pavilion –
As with the previous item, the contract was awarded to
the only supplier who submitted a quote.
69/16 Annual return to be approved and signed as
required
The annual return was presented to the Council and duly
approved and signed. Details of our year end accounts
are available on our web site at resolvencc.co.uk.
70/16 Correspondence Received/Gohebaeth
Chubb – following service checks Chubb have advised that
extra fire extinguishers are needed and will be purchased
in due course. This was agreed by Council.

The Governor’s along with the school are now in the process
of selecting a new teacher
73/16 Chairman’s Report/ Adroddiad y Cadeirydd
AM Jeremy Miles opened the new Sensory Room at Building
Blocks attended by the Chairman Councillor Aylwin Jones,
and Councillor David Richards along with County Councillor
Des Davies
The Chairman and Mrs Jones have been invited to the
annual dinner at the Resolven Rugby and Cricket Club
on 11th June 2016.
74/16 Councillors Reports/ Adroddiadau Cynghorwy
Resolven Events Committee have requested that a Councillor
and the Clerk will judge the fancy dress parade at the Carnival.
This was agreed.
