Bring a banner or flag and come and show your support for the Ukraine
Saturday 23rd April 11am
Ynysfach school yard
All money received will be given to benefit those in the Ukraine who need it most
With the ongoing crisis in the Ukraine we have set up a committee to arrange a Vigil in support of all in the Ukraine.
This committee has been made up of members of the Community Council, the lady’s of the Welfare, and local residents.
The vigil will take place at 11am on Saturday 23rd April at 11am in Ynysfach School yard where there will be some words from a local resident from Tonna who has family in the Ukraine and who is raising funds to send over for much needed supplies including medical equipment. Jeremy Miles will give an update on what Welsh Government is doing to support the Ukrainians, some words of prayer will be given for the victims of the conflict and a call for peace. Also we hope to be joined by pupils of Ynysfach School who will perform a song.
Please could as many as possible come along to show their support and it would be great if people could make banners or draw/print Ukrainian flags to bring with them.
The whole world is showing their support and it would be great if our wonderful local communities could add theirs too.
Also hopefully there will be future fundraising activities to raise further much need funds
