Understanding and Managing Anxiety:
The course will be led by Joanna Williams, an experienced Mental Health Practitioner with a background in Occupational Therapy and Psychotherapy.
This six week course offers people experiencing Anxiety an opportunity to meet and connect with others.
Sessions will be held weekly for 2 hours. At each session there will be opportunity to talk and share experiences and ideas informally with others, and some structured time for participants to work toward better understanding and managing their Anxiety.
Sessions will incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and a Solution focused approach to help participants better understand their experience of Anxiety, why it occurs and how thoughts and actions can influence this. From this foundation of understanding, participants will be supported to develop practical ways to help themselves manage their Anxiety and tackle life’s challenges in a healthy and positive way.
