The Finance meeting was held in the Community Hall on Thursday 20th April 2023 at 6pm

Minutes
The minutes of the last monthly meeting held on Thursday 12th January 2023 were accepted as a true record.
Financial Accounts
The year end Joint financial accounts and bank reconciliation were previously circulated and approved at the meeting. Financially the year has been important as 1 major project has been completed (the outdoor gym equipment) and the other near completion (the refurbishment of the toilets in the green) all of which have been financed with grant funding from
Pen Y Cymoedd, NPT, and the Ffynon Oer Community Fund. As a community council we are required to hold 3 months in reserves and we have also reached this target.
Wales Audit
The external audit for year 21/22 has been completed and the Community Council have received an unqualified report with no issues raised. The Clerk/RFO was thanked for all her hard work.
Virtual meetings
Following discussion at the previous full council meeting quotes have been obtained for a projector and microphone and access via Zoom business technology, to enable people to attend from any location via the internet. Approval for the purchases will be taken to the next meeting of the full council.
Projects
The proposal to consider major projects through the finance meeting was discussed and agreed. The first item put forward for consideration for the next financial year is the Multi Use Games Area and will be discussed by both Finance and Parks committees, members felt it was important to involve the local community and gauge their opinions on how this development could be improved and utilized and it was agreed to write to the various organisations in the village to ask for their input. Other projects will also be open for consideration in due course.
