Minutes of the meeting Parks and Environment and Hall Committee 13th March 2024

Parks
Bowling green/Pavilion.
Park shelter has been ordered and will be installed by the end of March
Preparations for the upgrade of the MUGA will continue during the year and any developments will be reported, this is a long process and will need considerable financ
New staging required for changing rooms, floors need to be repainted, and a battery charger for the mower is required
Pontrhydyfen Bowls club green is being refurbished and they have requested the use of our green during the season. This has been agreed with the bowls club and a charge of £30 per game will be administered.
The bowls season will begin on 15/4/24
Maintenance
All maintenance is ongoing as required.
Children’s Park
A proposal to install a disabled swing was put forward and will be looked at in the next financial year.
Following the installation of the shelter disabled access will be required and this will be on the agenda when the shelter is installed.
General Park
No issues raised.
Abergarwed Park
No issues raised.
Hall
No issues raised.
Environment
Due to the condition of the notice board on Commercial Road it will be removed, and a new one put in place.
The Proposals will be added to the 5-year plan for Resolven Parks
