Parks 12/7/17 – The grant application to the Awards for All fund for defibrillators was rejected
98/17 – The proposal for a one way system through Cory Street and Company Street has been withdrawn by NPT
108/17 Precept for next financial year
The review of the precept for the next financial year will take place over the next 2 months.
Projects proposed for consideration and discussion as follows:-
Replacing the multi gym climbing frame in the Children’s Park
Revamp the MUGA
Hard core path in the sports field to allow the skip lorry access
Chain saw and staging to cut the hedges around the bowling green.
109/17 Review of the Community and Town Council Secto
The request to complete a survey for the Welsh Government on the role of Town and Community Councils was discussed. The response will be sent to the Review panel.
110/17 Resurfacing the dram area
It was agreed to take this to the Parks/Environment committee for suggestions.
111/17 Correspondence Received
Wicksteed – quote for MUGA – this will go to the parks committee
Celtic Mowers – re discount service
Boundry Commission – Review of constituencies – Resolven remains the same.
NPTCVS – Renewal of membership – It was agreed to renew membership

The minutes of the finance meeting were presented and accepted as a true record.

Parks/Enviromnent/Planning

Planning app. no. P2017/0512 – Resolven AFC – Neath Vale Supplier Park Access Road
A notice of appeal for the use of the car park for 2 pitches for the sale of meat and potatoes at the Resolven

113/17 Chairman’s Report.
The Chairman expressed his disappointment that the defibrillator grant had been turned down.
He had also attended a Digital inclusion group meeting.
Congratulations were extended to Amanda Evans for representing Wales in a Pool Tournament.
